Privacy Policy
Short version: this site is an index. It has no accounts, no analytics and no cookies, and the tools it points at process your files in your own browser, so there is no upload step anywhere in the network.
What this site collects
Nothing that identifies you. tinytoolkit.org serves static pages and a single JSON file — the search index of 809 tool names, fetched from this same domain. There is no login, no form that submits anywhere, and no file handling on this domain at all.
What this site does not do
- No accounts or sign-up — ever.
- No analytics scripts. No Google Analytics, Plausible, Mixpanel or Hotjar.
- No tracking cookies. The site sets no cookies at all.
- No advertising pixels, no retargeting, no affiliate redirects.
- Nothing to sell, share or license, because nothing is collected.
Search
The search box runs locally. Your query is matched against a static
catalog.json file that your browser has already downloaded, and it is never sent
anywhere — including when you press Enter. Searching from the URL
(/tools?q=…) does put the query in this server's ordinary access log, the same
way any URL would; if you would rather it did not, use the search box instead.
Third parties that see your IP
Loading any page here means two hosts see your IP address, as they would on any website:
- Google Fonts —
fonts.googleapis.comandfonts.gstatic.com, for the Geist and JetBrains Mono typefaces. - The hosting provider, via standard web-server access logs: IP, user-agent, URL and timestamp. I use them only to debug outages and keep them no longer than the host's default retention.
Following a link from here to one of the tool sites is an ordinary outbound link. That site then sees your IP the same way, and its own privacy policy applies — they are all written to the same standard as this one.
Local storage
One key, theme in localStorage, remembering whether you chose light
or dark. Nothing else is stored, and it is not sent anywhere. Clear it from your browser's
dev-tools whenever you like.
What happens on the tool sites
Every tool in the network runs in your browser. Files you drop are read with the File API,
processed in memory and handed back as a download generated locally — there is no server
component receiving file content, which is why the tools keep working with your network
switched off. Some tools fetch a JavaScript library from a CDN
(cdn.jsdelivr.net) the first time you use them; that is code arriving, not your
file leaving.
One consequence worth stating plainly: because nothing is uploaded, there is also nothing to recover. Close the tab and the work is gone.
Children
Nothing here is directed at children and no personal data is collected from anyone, of any age.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
