Terms of Use
Short version: free to use, for anything, including commercial work. No warranty of any kind — check the output before you rely on it. Do not try to break the site for other people.
Using the site
tinytoolkit.org is an index of the tool sites listed on the homepage. You may use it and them freely, at work or at home, without asking, and without attribution. There is no licence to accept and no account to create.
No warranty
Everything here is provided as is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. The tools are written carefully and tested, and they still have bugs, as all software does.
Practically: verify the output before it matters. If a converted dataset feeds a production pipeline, a redacted PDF goes to a counterparty, or a compressed image ships to print, check it. Keep your original files. A conversion tool that silently drops a column is the kind of failure you find later, not sooner.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither I nor Parallax is liable for any damages arising from use of these sites — including lost data, lost profit, corrupted files or business interruption — whether direct, indirect, incidental or consequential, even if the possibility was known.
Your files and your responsibility
Files are processed in your browser and never reach me, so I cannot see, recover or delete anything you work on. That also means you remain fully responsible for what you process: having the right to the content, complying with whatever rules apply to it — GDPR, medical or financial confidentiality, an NDA — and keeping your own backups.
Acceptable use
- Do not attempt to disrupt the sites or their hosting for other users.
- Do not scrape the pages at a rate that degrades service for anyone else. The tool catalogue is a single JSON file if you want the data — take that instead.
- Do not present these tools as your own product or resell access to them.
- Do not use them for anything illegal where you are.
Third-party components
Some tools load open-source libraries from a CDN (pdf-lib, pdf.js, DuckDB-WASM, JSZip and similar). Those carry their own licences and their own warranties, which is to say generally none either.
Availability and changes
No uptime guarantee. Sites, tools and URLs may change or disappear; where a tool is retired I try to leave the old URL working. These terms may change too — the date at the top will say when.
